Introducing the Peppermint Party Mojito, with Monin Peppermint Syrup; no messy mint in this concoction. It’s not a holiday party without the powerful scent of peppermint in the air, so instead of candy canes, I opted for the peppermint syrup to bring life to this tipple.
Y’all might remember a few weeks back when James (Little Lane Media) taught me how he prefers his Mojito’s made; and why he doesn’t order them at bars. I’m sorry to let you all know, but I totally agree with him on the shake & strain method. Hear me out though…
#1 Presentation – By shaking and straining the Mojito, you don’t have ugly chunks of crushed lime or minty floaters in your drink, so your cocktail immediately looks superior.
#2 Consistency – Not all limes are equal. I can’t imagine the number of times I have juiced half a lime, expecting an ounce of juice, and barely half-filled the jigger. By measuring the lime juice, before mixing it into the cocktail, you are ensuring every Mojito is balanced.
Recipe:
Method:
- Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice
- Shake to chill and combine the ingredients
- Strain into a Collins glass over crushed ice
- Top with soda water
- Garnish & Enjoy!
