Georgian film – “Melodies of Vera district” (ვერის უბნის მელოდიები) The film was released in 1973 in the Period of the Soviet Union. but the film itself is about the Tbilisi City (Tiflis) in the 19th century, under the Russian Empire, when Georgia was a direct part of the Russian Empire. but it was not Russia, it was Georgian culture, language, traditions and Georgian ethnic majority. Only Tbilisi city (Tiflis) of that time was multicultural and multiethnic place with its own colorite and unique characteristics – Mix of Georgian, Russian, European and ethnic minorities cultures of Tbilisi.
