Happy NYE! I have the perfect bubbly cocktail to CELEBRATE featuring SnapDragon Apples. Have y’all had these apples before? I am obsessed. The cocktail I created is a twist on the classic French 75 & to amp up the flavor I decided to make a GORGEOUS syrup using these SUPER Juicy & Sweet Apples.
This SnapDragon Apple syrup not only brings flavor but the apple peels create a gorgeous pink color. To make this celebratory cocktail the syrup is mixed with gin & lemon juice in a shaker & strained into a festive glass then topped off with bubbles, which is perfect for ringing in the New Year. I also love having edible garnishes to snack on like this tasty Apple Fan!
Ingredients:
- ¾ ounce gin
- ¾ ounce lemon juice
- ¾ ounce SnapDragon Apple Syrup (*See recipe below)
- Top with bubbles
Method:
- Add syrup, gin, and lemon juice to a shaker with ice
- Shake to chill and combine the ingredients
- Double strain into serving glass
- Top with bubbles
- Garnish with a SnapDragon Apple fan
SnapDragon Apple Syrup
Ingredients:
- 1 SnapDragon Apple, roughly chopped
- 1 tablespoon of chopped fresh ginger
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
Method
- Add all ingredients to a medium saucepan
- Simmer until sugar is dissolved
- Take off the heat then muddle apples
- Stir to mix the ingredients further
- Strain and chill mixture before using
